The alpha release of Ubuntu Delivered by rPath is now available as a platform selection on rBuilder Online.
Create the appliance using the latest version of Ubuntu Delivered by rPath.
Goto the rBuilder Online's web interface:
- Click "Create /Edit product version"
- Select "Ubuntu Hardy Delivered by rPath" from the drop down menu
Note that as part of taking Ubuntu Delivered by rPath beyond its current alpha status, we have been making changes to our infrastructure to better support this platform. Because of the nature of these changes, updates to existing appliances based on Ubuntu Delivered by rPath will fail and need to be rebuilt and redeployed.

On an ASUS EEE 701 UMPC with SSD it takes just a couple of clicks to :
- update BIOS http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
- update Internet Radio http://www.mediayou.net/web/index.asp?lan=eng
- upgrade Skype to Video Skype
- install Digital TV DVBT
- makes videos from the webcam http://www.unicap-imaging.org/
This is the way ALL PCs should be ! You can even hold F9 during startup and you can restore the ENTIRE operating system and all applications to factory default !
There's now yet another variant of Ubuntu "Ubuntu NetBook Remix" for netbooks and webooks such as the ASUS EEE ! Apparently wi-fi doesn't work so maybe I should wait for OpenSolaris Redux !
