The GoDaddy domain name registration page says that AISA.ASIA registrations must include at least one contact who resides in one of the following ASIA.ASIA countries:
Afghanistan, Antarctica, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Cook Islands, Cyprus, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Georgia, Heard and McDonald Islands, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Korea, Republic of, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, New Zealand, Niue, Norfolk Island, Oman, Pakistan, Palau, Palestinian Territories, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tokelau, Tonga Islands, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Vietnam, Western Samoa, Yemen.
Anyone (person or entity) can be a registrant of .ASIA domains. In order to satisfy the .ASIA Charter Eligibility Requirement, one of the associated contacts for the domain (registrant, administrative, technical or billing contact) must be a legal entity in ASIA. A legal entity may be a natural person of a juristic entity such as a corporation.
There is already seems to be an auction running at http://asia.asia/ for some of the .asia domains !
