Mylyn is a Task-Focused Interface for Eclipse that reduces information overload and makes multi-tasking easy. It does this by making tasks a first class part of Eclipse, and integrating rich and offline editing for repositories such as Bugzilla, Trac, and JIRA.

What is the difference between sourceforge and gforge ?

Put simply (?) gforge is a continuation / fork of the discontinued free libre open source source sourceforge 2.6 !

gforge says:

GForge is a fork of the 2.61 SourceForge code, which was only available via anonymous CVS from VA
(Research|Linux|Software). <gforge.org> is not a project hosting platform, it is merely an implementation
of the GForge code. We believe that the GForge functionality is important not only to the Open
Source community, but to the wider business community.
The GForge project was formed and is maintained by Tim Perdue, the original author of much of the
original SourceForge web code.

What codebase will SourceForge.net run on?
Given the need to scale to support tens of thousands of development projects, SourceForge.net will be upgrading to the SourceForge 3.x codebase.

Does that make it all clear now ? But whats the difference between gforge.com, gforge.org, gforge express & gforgegroup.com ? Why Gnome chose Subversion SCM ?

Subversion is an SCM designed to be an easy replacement for CVS, while addressing some of its shortcomings.

Here are some reasons why Gnome chose Subversion as a replacement for CVS after nearly 10 years:

Directories, renames, and file meta-data are versioned
Commits are truly atomic
Branching and tagging are cheap (constant time) operations
Natively client/server, layered library design
Client/server protocol sends diffs in both directions
Costs are proportional to change size, not data size
Versioning of symbolic links
Efficient handling of binary files
Parseable output
Localized messages
