Apparently the real Google Ubuntu Chromium OS is based on Ubuntu and not on OpenSuse ! And the official download is only available as sourcecode which you have to build-it-yourself ! So by implication any other ISO or VM downloads that claim to be Chromium OS are possibly spoofs or fakes !

Thanks to Alan Pope for alerting me to the spoof ISO i downloaded last week !
According to http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/534 Intel initially chose not to extend their IA-32 processor family to 64 bits, preferring to promote their own but incompatible HP PA-RISC based IA-64 "Itanium" processor family !
but then Intel adopted AMD's 64-bit extensions into their IA-32 processor family, calling them "Intel 64" (aka IA-32e and EMT64). Final generation Pentium 4 & D, Celeron D, and Xeon processors and all "Core 2" based processors now include AMD compatible 64-bit extensions.
To add to the confusion https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ProcessorArch lists a few dozen Intel processors but doesn't make it clear which type a Pentium DualCore is ! Which is what my Compaq A900 notebook says it has in it !
I have 4G of RAM that I have only been able to access 3G of so far (with 4 different OS's)
Update :
It seems that my Pentium DualCore has PAE (?) support and when I install from the Xubuntu x86 (32-bit ?) CD I CAN see all 4G ! So what benefits if any would I get from using the Xubuntu 64-bit (AMD64) CD instead ?

A lot of googled webpages seem to suggest you can fix your WVS 6TO4 yellow exclaimation mark device errors
6TO4 Adapter
6.0.6000.16386
This device cannot start (Code 10)
by downgrading to WXP which sounds a bit drastic to me !
However according to ComputerWorld only certain WVS Licences can be downgraded to WXP ! Owners of the OEM editions of Vista Business and Vista Ultimate can downgrade to XP ... but Vista Home Basic and Vista Home Premium owners can't !
M$ TechNet has a few less drastic options:
- Uninstall 6TO4 & reinstall 6TO4
- Use NETSH INTERFACE 6TO4 SET STATE DISABLE to disable 6TO4
- Just ignore it ! You can completely ignore this error, if there isn’t IPv6 network deployed in the environment. The error won’t affect your system.
Finally the best bet may be to 'UPGRADE' to Ubuntu but then your Wi-Fi might stop working instead like mine did !
You just can't win ! Or maybe its time to switch to Sun OpenSolaris ?

The alpha release of Ubuntu Delivered by rPath is now available as a platform selection on rBuilder Online.
Create the appliance using the latest version of Ubuntu Delivered by rPath.
Goto the rBuilder Online's web interface:
- Click "Create /Edit product version"
- Select "Ubuntu Hardy Delivered by rPath" from the drop down menu
Note that as part of taking Ubuntu Delivered by rPath beyond its current alpha status, we have been making changes to our infrastructure to better support this platform. Because of the nature of these changes, updates to existing appliances based on Ubuntu Delivered by rPath will fail and need to be rebuilt and redeployed.

There's now yet another variant of Ubuntu "Ubuntu NetBook Remix" for netbooks and webooks such as the ASUS EEE ! Apparently wi-fi doesn't work so maybe I should wait for OpenSolaris Redux !
