Domainmonster.com has been confirmed by the DotAsia registry as their largest registrar outside of the USA. This positions Domainmonster.com as the 2nd largest registrar worldwide for the new .asia domain name, since regular registry operation began on the 26th March 2008.
"We’ve seen a phenomenal uptake for the new .asia domain name from both existing and new customers" said Matt Mansell, Managing Director, Mesh Digital Limited. Commenting further he said, "We achieved superb success during the initial hours of registry launch and continue to do so.
Brand identities such as Oxfam.asia, Cadburys.asia and Kylie.asia are among the tens of thousands of domain names registered at Domainmonster.com to date."
Many are predicting it will rival the world popular.com domain !
Open Source Software (apart from Red Hat & Ubuntu !) suffers from a massive lack of marketing ! For example I've been using Parallels Plesk and WHM/Cpanel for managing webhosting for many years without even realising there alternatives such as the lightweight LxLabs LxAdmin and the Open Source Webmin VirtualMin !
Well that changes today ! I will be giving Webmin VirtualMin a try and hope it lives up to its promises ! BUT hang on a mo ! They aren't making any "marketing" promises ! So how can they fail to live up to them ?
